Mosaic, my passion

Mosaic is a decorative art that came into my life when I met a master mosaicist during an exhibition. Amazed and Inspired by his work, I in turn began to produce my first works.

Self-taught, I then perfected my technique during several training sessions. At the Maison de la Mosaïque Contemporaine in Paray-le-Monial as well as at the Center International du Vitrail in Chartres: size of marble and glass with a marteline, monochromy, intuitive mosaic, animal interpretation, spun glass, Tiffany stained glass... The mosaic is such a vast art, I am always ready to progress, thus enriching my passion.

The mosaic, a plural art

I like to work with noble materials, such as marble, granite or Venetian smalts. As well as other more familiar ones that I meet during my walks; and which constitute the memories of the places crossed: stones, wood, shells, sand, or even brick... This interest that I take in the diversity of materials also testifies to the way in which I consider the mosaic: an art whose primary strength is to harmoniously combine objects of different natures. This plurality is what makes the mosaic so accessible and inclusive, addressing everyone regardless of their level and means. These are the values that I want to promote during my internships. Whether you are beginners, initiated or confirmed.

A mosaic workshop in Oléron

After training and having practiced this art individually, I now open the doors of my studio to share my passion and my know-how; during courses and introductory or advanced courses given on the island of Oléron. In addition to my knowledge, I hope to be able to transmit to you my inspirations drawn between land and sea, under the sun of this island which never gives up.
